For the love of onion


It's easy to assume an idea as a norm, when so many people seem to agree with that.

I ordered porridge for breakfast this morning. And it came with lots of fried onions because I forgot to let the merchant know to not include them.

It reminds me of how it's very easy for us (me included) to apply the same standard that we believe in and project it as a norm for everybody.

"You don't like spicy food? Lol, weak!"

"You never eat durian? Omg, you missed out on the most delicious thing in this world!"

Well, I just wish I don't need to tell people every single time that I don't want onion in my food.
